Key Stage One Sports Day

Last Friday, our girls' football team became the school's most successful sports team.
After winning the South Ribble competition in September, winning every game, the girls travelled to Fleetwood to compete in the Lancashire finals against the best teams from the county.
During the group stage, they won 1, drew 2, and lost 1, meaning they finished 3rd in the table and progressed to the 'minor finals'.
After a 1-1 draw, the team then went on to win a penalty shootout in the quarter final (with Olivia saving all three), and won their semi-final 1-0.
Unfortunately, they lost in the final, but the result means they are one of the top 10 teams in Lancashire!
Including the South Ribble competition, the girls scored 32 goals in 14 games- losing just twice!
An incredible achievement by a sensational team! Well done girls!
