Remote Education

Remote Education

The Coronavirus Act 2020 and provision of remote education (England) temporary continuity (no.2) direction expired on 24 March 2022 meaning that schools no longer have a legal duty to provide remote education.

However, we have a variety of ways we can provide remote education on a temporary basis, including through the use of Seesaw and email. Please contact the school if you feel your child is in need of this provision.

Children who are unwell do NOT need to complete remote education, this service is for those who are unable to attend for other exceptional circumstances.

Government guidance states:

"Remote education should not be viewed as an equal alternative to attendance in school, and providing remote education during a pupil's absence does not reduce the importance of bringing that absence to an end as soon as possible."

In line with this, the school expects children to attend in person wherever possible.
