COVID-19 updates

The Government updated their advice after school finished for the day yesterday. From today all non-essential activities will cease at school for the time being.

These events will be paused for now:

  • Twiglets baby and toddler group (Thursday mornings)
  • Little Acorns pre-school group (Wednesday afternoons - fees already paid will be returned)
  • Art Club (Tuesdays after school)
  • Football Club (Mondays after school)
  • Netball Club ( Tuesday after school)
  • Basketball Club (Wednesday after school)
  • Cheer leading Club (Friday after school)
  • Football matches
  • Netball matches
  • Visits to the library

Care Club Breakfast and After School Club WILL REMAIN OPEN as long as we have the staff to cover it and as long as the school remains open.

The Government have also revised their advice about self-isolation. If anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of a new continuous dry cough and/or a high temperature then you all MUST stay at home for 14 days. Please let the school office know immediately if you are self-isolating. Please also let us know if any family member you live with has been tested as positive for the virus.

School will remain open for as long as it can. Stand-in teachers are getting harder to find at the moment so some classes will need to be taught by different staff members and possibly split into other classes as a last resort.

We will continue to keep you informed with all the developments as we get them.

Please remember to send all Year 2-6 children with a clean water bottle full of just water in daily as the fountains are now out of action. reception and Year 1 have their school bottles which are washed daily.

Hand washing tip - please wet hands BEFORE you put the soap on to wash. Additional hand washing is causing some irritation on the skin so by wetting your hands first, hands seem to be coping better.

Please look after yourselves
