Role Of The Governing Body
Broad Oak governing body currently has 10 members, including the Head Teacher.
We have seven commumity governors, two parent representatives and one staff governor.
We currently have vacancies for one community governor.
Our Chair of Governors is Mrs Susan Naylor and our Vice Chair is Mr Michael Dickinson.
The governing body has a strong focus on three core strategic functions:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and it's pupils and the performance management of the staff.
- Overseeing the financial management of the school to ensure all monies are well spent.
In accordance with Lancashire County Council governance regulations, we have attached a copy of the required documents in respect of business interests and relationships between governors and members of staff.
