All our Year 6 adventurers are having an absolute blast at Robin Wood today!
After a 2km minihike including a very steep 1.5km climb that definitely woke everyone up we made it up to the castle where lunch was waiting. Energy levels fully restored, we kicked off with raft building... and yes, everyone ended up drenched, which only added to the fun.
Next came the dungeons and the panic rooms, where teamwork (and a few squeals) got us through. Just before tea, the children flew down the zip line with huge smiles.
Tea was a hit fish fingers or chicken curry, followed by chocolate muffins. No crumbs left behind.
We're now busy with archery and team challenges, which will take us nicely to hot chocolate time, a good natter, and then lights out. There are already plenty of yawns... a sign of a day very well spent.
