Music

Intent:
We inspire a lifelong love of music, building creativity, confidence, and community. Every child is encouraged to Reach for the Stars through joyful music-making.

Implementation:
Weekly music lessons follow the National Curriculum using the Charanga scheme. Pupils sing, compose, and play instruments—including glockenspiels and options via Lancashire Music Service. Singing is central, with whole-school practices and annual Let’s Go Sing participation. Performances and productions build confidence and celebrate achievement.

Impact:
Children leave with musical skills, cultural appreciation, and a sense of pride. Whether continuing as musicians or simply enjoying music, they carry its joy with them.
