Winners of the St Leonard's Christmas Tree Festival!
Mrs Nairn and Mrs Taylor worked with the children who attend our after school Care Club to produce some amazing hand made wooden tree decorations. These were then entered into the Christmas Tree Festival at St Leonards Church over the weekend of 15th & 16th November, where our tree was judged along with a further 29 entries by members of the public who paid to see them. We are very proud to say that we won first prize and our winning tree will be displayed in school in the next few weeks.
St Leonard's Church would like to thank all the parents and parishioners who took time out to view the trees on display at their Tree Festival and helped raise over £900.
Children in Need 2014
Thank you to all the children who bought cakes, entered the Pudsey Bear colouring competition and came dressed as a superhero last Friday. We raised an amazing £203.75 for Children In Need.
Well done everyone.
Silent Night Carol Service at Preston North End - Monday 8th December 2014.
This year marks the 100 year anniversary of a remarkable World War 1 event; when peace broke out in the trenches. On Christmas Day, there was no fighting, ememies ventured out across No Man's Land, exchanged gifts, played football and sang Silent Night together.
To commemorate this, carol services will take place in sports stadiums across the country.
Preston North End FC, together with the charities, Silent Night Carols, Hope Together and Sports Chaplaincy UK are to hold a special carol service.
This free event will be held at The Deepdale Stadium, Sir Tom Finney Way, Preston starting at 7pm and will last for about 1 hour.
