A Message from the Chair of Governors - 23rd May 2013 |
Dear Parents and Carers,
On the Monday of this week the full Governing Body of Broad Oak Primary School interviewed five candidates with a view to becoming Broad Oak’s new Headteacher for September 2013.
I am pleased to announce that the Governors did appoint a new Headteacher and her name is Miss S. Barton.
Miss Barton lives locally and comes to us after being the Deputy Headteacher at Crow Orchard Primary School in Skelmersdale for the last 6 ½ years.
We have already invited Miss Barton to visit Broad Oak on as many occasions as possible between now and the 1st September. This will provide Miss Barton with the opportunity to acquaint herself with the ‘Broad Oak Family’, and will also ensure that the transition between Mr Smith and Miss Barton as Headteachers is as smooth as possible.
We very much look forward to working with Miss Barton in September, but we are making sure that there are a lot of things for Mr Smith to do before we let him leave at the end of this term.

A Message from The Headteacher - 24th May 2013 |
Hi Everyone!!
Don’t forget that we are now on our 2 week break which includes Half Term and Teacher Training Days (INSETs). Therefore we return to school on Monday 10th June at 8.55am.
We squeezed one more Class Assembly in before the half term break…and it was Year 1’s turn. The Assembly was fantastic - all about seeds, flowers and vegetables – Mrs Yale and her team, and of course the Year 1 put together a wonderful Assembly!!
We have recently been updating our computers in school. At the moment we have a few 17” flat screen monitors which are reusable. We are selling these off at £10.00 each on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. Please ask at the office if you would like to buy one. All money raised will go towards our school funds.
Have a lovely break!!
