The children in year 6 stay at Hothersall Lodge for a whole week! It is often the first time they have stayed away from home for so long but by the end of the week they have ALL enjoyed themselves and had experiences that they will remember for a long time to come.
Have a look at the photos-they will certainly give you a flavour of the activities the children do. You will also see the staff having just as much fun!
Day 4 saw more activities, with groups doing canoeing, orienteering on Beacon Fell and shelter building.
Time for day 3 and there was a mixture of pond dipping, archery, the low ropes course, Beacon Fell and more team building.
Day two saw a bit of team building, low ropes and a cracking game of rounders, which was very close thanks to a bit of cheating on the part of the staff! One group also went to Beacon Fell for an orienteering session. The weather was much kinder today but they still managed to get muddy and wet! Check out what your little darlings have been up to on day 2. There are more images on Twitter.
The children are having an amazing time up in Longridge and are enjoying every minute - even in the pouring rain! They have been in the indoor cave, on the zip wire and scaled a local hill on day one. Check out the photos below and also our Twitter feed.
