On Wednesday, twelve of our Year 6 children, accompanied by Miss Barton, Mr Bromley and Mrs Roberts, were lucky enough to go to London for the day to visit the House of Commons and House of Lords. The children had been invited by Little Hoole Primary who had done this trip several times before. They got to go on a tour of the building and did a workshop to learn about how laws are decided. They found the experience fascinating and had a brilliant time. They also got to see Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and other landmarks and loved the Underground. (Although I’m not sure the teachers did – especially at rush hour!)
The children were a credit to the school and some might say, now know more about politics than a certain newly elected President! A big thank you goes to Little Hoole for the invite and we look forward to further adventures with you in the near future.
