International Languages Day was this week and so the juniors have been looking at different languages, cultures, flags and food. Year 3 learnt how to say ‘Good morning’ in different European languages and during their weekly French lessons, the juniors all tried croissants. Year 6 had a great morning at Penwortham Girls’ High School and participated in lots of fun, language-based activities.
The highlight however, was today in assembly when Mrs Benton introduced the school to a French delicacy, garlic snails! Some lucky volunteers had the chance to taste them but by the look on their faces, the majority of them didn’t seem too keen!
