Have a look at what we will be up to this term in Reception:
We always have a brilliant time in our Reception Class and despite being the youngest in the school, we can produce the most amazing work as well as having lots of fun!
What amazing weather we are having for our first week back at school after the holidays! As the mercury edged towards an unprecedented 20 degrees, making it the warmest February in living memory, the Reception class built a fast food restaurant outside in the sunshine.
As well as working very hard over the last few weeks, we have been having great fun in Reception class. We have been learning to ride a bike with the sports coaches, creating bubble paintings, producing some brilliant writing, sequencing numbers and learning all about special celebrations. Have a look at what we have been up to:
Reception have had a great time celebrating Roald Dahl Day! We have been exploring 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and had a go at designing imaginative lollipops, then making some of our very own! The children had a visit from Willy Wonka who took us on a 'golden ticket hunt' outside - we worked hard to find all the hidden tickets and them put them in order from 0-10. Willy Wonka was very impressed!
The youngest children in the school have settled in really well and are loving life in our Reception class. They have been busy making, painting, drawing, counting and practising writing their names. The wet weather doesn't stop them playing out either as we have wellies, all-weather clothes and an amazing outdoor area and the children especially love our new 'Mud Kitchen'.
